【摘要】:Selectionofordevelopmentofacarpetadhesive,fordirectglueoradheredapplicationsrequiresknowledgeoftheadhesive''sabilitytoperformadequatelywhenitisfoundnecessarytocorrectaninstallationconcern,suchasbubblesorwrinkles,byre-rollingorapplicationofdeadweighttotheaffectedareawithouttheapplicationorinjectionofadditionaladhesive.Adhesivebondingofsomecarpetbackingstosubstratesandtheadhesivebondingofcarpetbackingstoapadfoundation,doublestickorglueapplication,requirethatpriortobondingtheadhesiveistobedriedsufficientlytoallowfornotransferofadhesiveasaresultofslightfingerpressure.1.1Thispracticewillprovideaprotocolfordeterminingtheeffectofextendeddrying(opentime)periodsontheshearandpeelstrengthperformanceofacarpetadhesivewhenbondingacarpetbackingorstandardduckclothmaterialtoasubstrate.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
