【摘要】:1.1Scope.1.1.1Thisrecommendedpracticeappliestothoselocationswhereflammablegasesorvapors,flammableliquids,orcombustibleliquidsareprocessedorhandled;andwheretheirreleaseintotheatmospherecouldresultintheirignitionbyelectricalsystemsorequipment.1.1.2Thisrecommendedpracticeprovidesinformationonspecificflammablegasesandvapors,flammableliquids,andcombustibleliquidswhoserelevantcombustionpropertieshavebeensufficientlyidentifiedtoallowtheirclassificationintothegroupsestablishedbyNFPA70,NationalElectricalCode(NEC),forproperselectionofelectricalequipmentinhazardous(classified)locations.Thetablesofselectedcombustiblematerialscontainedinthisdocumentarenotintendedtobeall-inclusive.1.1.3Thisrecommendedpracticeappliestochemicalprocessareas.Asusedinthisdocument,achemicalprocessareacouldbealarge,integratedchemicalprocessplantoritcouldbeapartofsuchaplant.Itcouldbeapartofamanufacturingfacilitywhereflammablegasesorvapors,flammableliquids,orcombustibleliquidsareproducedorusedinchemicalreactions,orarehandledorusedincertainunitoperationssuchasmixing,filtration,coating,spraying,anddistillation.1.1.4Thisrecommendedpracticedoesnotapplytosituationsthatcouldinvolvecatastrophicfailureoforcatastrophicdischargefromprocessvessels,pipelines,tanks,orsystems.1.1.5Thisrecommendedpracticedoesnotaddresstheuniquehazardsassociatedwithexplosives,pyrotechnics,blastingagents,pyrophoricmaterials,oroxygen-enrichedatmospheresthatmightbepresent.
